Call us misguided, but at Sivadia, we believe that to design and create good biking holidays, you first really have to love riding a bike. We have some of the most beautiful and scenic places to ride in South Africa and Zimbabwe, where you can experience freedom, tranquility and sheer riding bliss. When we are not on tour, you will probably find us out and about, looking for new places to ride, and bring you even more exciting, fun-filled tours.

The Sivadia Team

David Simpson

I ride both on and off road but enjoy off road more as it gives you much more freedom to ride places and see things one would normally not see. I enjoy a good single track, preferably a good downhill single track, as well as riding in game parks amongst the animals as every time you ride you see, hear and feel something unique.
I love riding new trails and exploring which is why I started Sivadia with my wife and family.

Deidre Simpson

Mountain biking is my passion, and I find it a great way to spend quality time with my family and friends. Training rides four hours odd are a necessity for me. I enjoy the jeep track long gradual hills and the scenery. The short races with fast downhill and reasonable technical single track is my thrill. No time to think just rough and ride it.

Bronwyn Oliver

Although I enjoy riding on the road and the nice, long, smooth downhills it gives, mountain biking is more enjoyable for me. I love the downhills and riding the single track through forests. I also love river crossings! I have enjoyed most of the races I have done, but Hill2Hill, Umtinzini and Eston Illovo have been my favourites!

Andrea Oliver

I do both road riding and mountain biking. I prefer road riding because I feel more comfortable on the road, I enjoy it more and I can push myself harder. My favourite part about road riding is the short, steep climbs and the slight (but not too steep!) downhills that follow. My most enjoyable road race was the Tour Durban 55km. When I do mountain biking, I love riding through the forests. My best ride was the Fox Greytown Classic, which took me weaving through the forest.

Callum Simpson

At 13 years old, he is the youngest member of the Sivadia team. He rides the kids 10km races and is looking to do the longer ones next year. He rides with us and has done Mbotyi, Howick, up to the fire tower and has ridden some single track and Lake Eland mountain biking.
He also has his cane license, and uses his riding skills to successfully compete in tri-athlons.

Amy-Jane Mundy

Mountain biking has been my passion for 17 years, I have raced professionally both off- road and on-road and represented South Africa many times . I thrive on challenges and live for riding technical, fun and free flowing trails. Exploring and experiencing new places, is where I get my riding fix.

Matambo Chipata

Matambo Chipata has been a member of our family for about 20 years. He does not cycle, but provides auto recovery, and will be the support vehicle driver for team Sivadia, as well as general bike washer and mechanic. Matambo loves following the bikes and giving much encouragement. It takes loads to wipe the smile off his face. He is also First Aid Level 1 trained.
